Running has found its way into Tam’s life at every turn.
In 2022 she did her first 10K, was hooked and immediately joined a club to train for a marathon . She has since run more than 30 marathons and 115 half marathons. These days, when she isn’t crossing a Mercury Events finish line, most of her runs are on trails where she has run seven 50ks, several 30ks and even a 24-hour race (completing 52.5 miles). When she can’t run, she will volunteer at trail race aid stations.
At “A Running Experience Club” in Long Beach, she has volunteered to lead training groups, organize club races and other events.
Tam became a teacher in the Lennox School District before becoming a runner. But running quickly found a home there as well, where she runs with her 5th graders leading an annual progressive marathon program.
For Mercury Events, she worked on High Tide Runs events as a timer and became Ambassador Coordinator in September 2023

With her infectious personal energy and unparalleled organizational prowess, Stephanie brings a vibrant spirit to every event. Her passion for running and unwavering upbeat attitude infuses each race with positivity and enthusiasm. Stephanie’s deep understanding of event management complexities ensures smooth operations, while her ability to motivate both staff and athletes fosters a sense of camaraderie and determination throughout the event.

Kate’s love of running began 26 years ago. Now, a passionate ultrarunner and community builder, she leads group runs throughout LA and created LA Running Connoisseur, a widely used online resource to help runners plug into the local scene. At Mercury Events, she brings that same energy to the digital space, using social media to celebrate the races, the runners, and the shared experience of showing up. For Kate, race day is about joy, grit, and the powerful connections built through the sport she loves.
